1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website (www.confident.ca) or purchasing any MAPS Compass™ digital products (the "Products"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or purchase our products.

2. Products and Services

MAPS Compass™ offers digital educational products including:

The MAPS Compass™ Digital Guide
The MAPS Compass™ Toolkit (15 implementation tools)
Premium Interview Upgrade
The MAPS Compass™ Mastery Bundle (Guide + Toolkit)

All products are delivered digitally via email or download link immediately after purchase.

3. License and Usage Rights

3.1 Personal Use License

Upon purchase, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal-use license to:

Download and use the Products for your own medical school application preparation
Access lifetime updates to the Products you've purchased
Use the tools and templates for your personal applications

3.2 Restrictions

You may NOT:

Share, distribute, or resell the Products to others
Upload the Products to file-sharing websites or torrent sites
Modify and redistribute the Products as your own
Use the Products for commercial purposes or group coaching
Remove copyright notices or branding from the Products

            ⚠️ Important: Sharing digital files violates copyright law and deprives us of the ability to create valuable resources for future applicants. Each license is for individual use only.
        

4. Intellectual Property

All content, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, spreadsheets, templates, and software, is the property of MAPS Compass™ and is protected by Canadian and international copyright laws.

The MAPS Compass™ name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks owned by Confident.ca Publications.

5. Refund Policy

            Digital Product Policy: Due to the nature of digital products, all sales are final. No refunds are provided after download or access to the Products.
        

We cannot offer refunds because:

Products are delivered instantly and cannot be "returned"
You receive immediate access to all content upon purchase
Digital files can be copied and cannot be retrieved

Before purchasing: Please review product descriptions, previews, and free samples carefully to ensure the product meets your needs.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Products are provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

Implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
Guarantee of admission to medical school
Guarantee of specific results or outcomes

While we strive for accuracy and quality, we do not guarantee that the Products are error-free or will meet your specific requirements.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MAPS Compass™ and Confident.ca Publications shall not be liable for:

Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Lost profits, lost data, or loss of business opportunity
Damages resulting from use or inability to use the Products
Medical school application outcomes or admission decisions

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Products.

8. Educational Purpose

Our Products are designed for educational and informational purposes to assist with medical school application preparation. They do not:

Guarantee admission to any medical school
Replace official application requirements or guidelines
Constitute professional admissions consulting (unless explicitly stated)

You are responsible for verifying all information with official medical school sources.

9. User Conduct

By using our website and Products, you agree to:

Provide accurate information during purchase
Use the Products ethically and honestly in your applications
Not engage in any fraudulent or illegal activity
Respect intellectual property rights

10. Privacy

Your use of our website and Products is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

11. Updates and Changes

We reserve the right to:

Update and improve the Products at any time
Modify pricing for future purchases (existing purchases unaffected)

Purchases are processed through Gumroad. You agree to Gumroad's terms of service when making a purchase. We are not responsible for Gumroad's service or policies.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the Products shall be resolved through:

Good faith negotiation between the parties
Mediation (if negotiation fails)
Binding arbitration in Ontario, Canada (if mediation fails)

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MAPS Compass™ regarding use of our Products and supersede all prior agreements.
